Ogden Point Breakwater

The Ogden Point Enhancement Society, a registered charity, was established in 1996 when then Mayor, Bob Cross, organized a group of volunteers to beautify the Ogden Point area and create public space. As a result of these meetings, the Ogden Point Enhancement Society was formed to initiate the Concept Plan. The Concept Plan defined the areas to be used by vehicles and pedestrian access corridors to improve safety and security. It also took into consideration the importance of an aesthetically pleasing public port facility and related tourism activity. Since those beginnings the Ogden Point Enhancement Society has completed several phases of enhancement.

Victoria Golf Club

Explore the ocean-side Course, surrounded by dramatic vistas and take a tour of the historic Clubhouse, full of glistening trophies, memorabilia and other hidden gems.

Beacon Hill Park

Beacon Hill Park was named for the two beacons on Mount Beacon. The western most beacon had a triangle (blue) and the other a square (green). If the sailor could see the square through the triangle he was on Brotchie Ledge- which meant trouble. Their goal is to help children develop a respect for animals that will remain with them for life. The hands-on experience with the goats in the petting area is the most popular feature of the farm. A hand wash station is located onsite for visitors' convience and we encourage everyone to wash their hands after visiting any animal.

Chinatown

The original structures house restaurants and stores connected by a labyrinth of alleys still unseen by outsiders. This "east meets west" portal helped establish and develop Canada. Founded during the Manchu or Qing dynasty, Old Chinatown retains many gracious traditions and customs. Chinese festivals and celebrations along with the arts and recreation continue as they have for many generations. A century old Chinese School (est. 1909) runs full time and an ancient temple, herbal medicine shops, vegetable markets, music clubs and acupuncture clinics are among the services in this community.
